Making impactful grants to local nonprofits, in spring and fall cycles, has been a gratifying mission of Northwest Alliance Community Foundation (NACF).  Interacting with dedicated, compassionate people has been a joy and an education because they know their communities and address local needs to effect positive change for all ages.  Historically, NACF has been able to award yearly grants totaling $20,000.  However, beginning in 2025, we will be shifting our fundraising focus to growing our endowment funds so that we can build grantable funds in perpetuity – for now and forever.

To be able to maintain NACF’s annual grant awards at our current level, we must increase our endowed funds by at least $300,000.  Without this growth, NACF will have to cut one grant cycle per year and the amount granted will be greatly reduced.  Given the escalating challenges facing our nonprofits, our communities need us to increase our support, not reduce it to less than half.

In response, NACF is launching the Legacy Gift Campaign. We are soliciting 100 three-year commitments of $1,000 for each of three years, and we need your help to meet this goal.  If a three-year commitment does not work for you, any amount to our endowment fund does make a difference.  Endowed gifts to NACF are invested for growth, generating earnings that are granted back to our community – today, tomorrow and for generations to come!

NACF, as one of 10 affiliates of St. Croix Valley Foundation (SCVF), has partnered with volunteers, donors, and area nonprofit organizations since 2013 to improve the quality of life in our area.  Since 2016, generous donations have helped us to award more than $160,000 to 50+ nonprofits to continue their crucial work in our communities.  We need your help now to keep growing our forever funds.
